Rock, especially sharp rock, is hard on CTLs. The backhoe attachments in my view (I have had one) are limited in ability. Don't even waste your money getting a 6 way blade for a CTL. I would get a machine that can do the majority of what you have planned, and that may not be a skid steer (wheeled or tracked), and rent or hire out the rest of it.
ive operated both. we have a T190 bobcat and ive operated a 902 CAT. skid steers are better for final grading and landscape jobs and are really handy because they can of course turn on a dime. a compact wheel loader would be better loading and unloading stuff and moving stuff. as for tracks vs tires on a skid steer i like tracks more. they dont .

On machines with roller-suspension it seems like one gives up some machine capacity in favor of operator comfort, and probably reliability/operating cost. I just bought a set of Hi Qual s wave tracks about 2 months ago. So far I love them. They outweigh my previous generic C Pad tracks by a lot and are thicker. They pull like a straight bar but ride nicer on hard ground. I got a little over 100 hours on them and they still have the casting marks on the tread blocks.
The tracks will certainly tear into the side walls at times. Ideally, running airless tires would be the best solution if your going to have them on for any length of time. That of course will at 3k or more to the cost of running them, but I agree that especially in slippery conditions like hilly, snow covered areas. I recently put OTT tracks on and think for general ranch type work a wheeled machine with OTT's is the best of both worlds. I will admit a track machine would be nice but the cost of operating one is not worth it to me. I can take the tracks on or off in about 30 minutes. I really on need them when its wet out. I been looking for a skid steer for a while now, and just cannot seem to find a decent one for a fair price and also starting to think maybe a skid steer isn't the best tool for working on hills as well the hills I have are uneven ground, and about 15% slope(at the bottom is a 10+ ft almost vertical drop, retaining wall!
